Hi everyone and Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Mine was great! I don’t know about you ladies, but me and my hubby do date night religiously every Saturday. We think it’s important to keep up the spice and romance in our marriage and to be more than just parents. However, I know how hard it is to come up with an interesting date every week, so here are my Top 5 Date Night Ideas:
Carriage ride : Personally, I think it is one of the most romantic things to do with your partner. Both of you are sitting in the back of a carriage, being chauffeured around the city. I highly suggest for this to be done at night, with champagne and strawberries. Just like Carrie and Mr.Big in Sex and the City – it’s classic and never goes out of style!
Hiking: If you like the outdoors, going hiking is amazing! Even if you don’t like the outdoors, suck it up and get outside of your house on a beautiful day. I’ve never finished a hike and regretted it afterwards. You’re getting fresh oxygen in your lungs, Vitamin D from the sun, and this will allow both of you to feel happy and energetic. Now both of you are in a good mood, and you finally have enough time to talk to your hubby… without any interruptions.
Picnic: Now that spring is coming, it’s a perfect alternative to eating in a restaurant. Pack some finger food: sandwiches, fruit and ice tea. Or if you like it fancy, how about some cheese, crackers and wine. Go to the nearest park and enjoy the afternoon/ evening!
Go to the Place you first met: Bring back the memories of when you first laid eyes on each other. You remember those memories, right ladies? Those were the good ol’ days before you found out all of your husbands flaws! Haha… just kidding 🙂 All joking aside, the place where I met my hubby always brings warmth to my heart and a smile on my face.
Ice Skating: Whether you skate like Olympic Gold Medalist Kristi Yamaguchi, or this is you’re first time on the ice, this is ALWAYS a fun date place! If you’re not good at ice skating ladies, then this gives your husband a chance to be the “hero” and catch you when you fall. Or even better, if both of you are clumsy on the ice, then you’re constantly helping each other from falling. It’s a win-win!
All of these date places are fun, safe, romantic and economical. You don’t have to get on a plane, take a long car ride, and best of all, there’s hardly any planning involved. Remember our motto: Relax, and don’t take anything too seriously.
Let me know which date ideas you like best!
